The Jailhouse was built in 1913, in Ravenswood, West Virginia. It was not only used as the city's jail but as the town hall as well. In the 1960's the jailhouse was converted to a county library. By the 1980's the jailhouse was sold to private owners who added a sunroom onto the building and opened up Iron City Gym.

In 2006 Iron City Gym was purchased by CJ Varney (Founder of Hemlock Fleet Services, Hemlock Industrial Services & Cornerstone Services). CJ changed the name of the Gym to Jailhouse Gym to commemorate the build's historical past.

The Jailhouse is part of Ravenswood's historical section of town. Ravenswood is located in the Mid Ohio Valley, by the Ohio River on land that was once owned by George Washington. George Washington acquired the land in 1770 & the first settlement was established in 1810. The lots & street were laid out by Washington's descendants in 1852 & chartered in 1835. Ravenswood was named after Allan Lord Ravenswood, a character in Sir Walter Scott's novel "The Bride of Lammermoor".

With the Jailhouse's rich historical past, CJ couldn't help but see the potential this structure had for the foundation of a Multi-State Onsite Fleet Service Company. Which is why the jailhouse is now being restored so that it can serve as the foundation & central office for Jailhouse Enterprises.

Jailhouse Enterprises was created by consolidating Cornerstone & Hemlock Fleet Services. The three principal partners are CJ Varney & his loyal daughters Terra Varney & Sara Varney.
